Timothy is a young pastor given the responsibility of oversight for a network of churches in and around the ancient city of Ephesus. This task is not for the faint of heart as false doctrine must be erased, God’s word must be established, public worship must be safeguarded, mature leadership must be developed and mission must be prioritized. Jesus loves His church and has established it as the foundation and pillar of truth. The church is His “Plan A” for reaching the pagan culture with the message of His glorious gospel…and there is no “Plan B”.
